**Obituary for Larry Edward Edwards**
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Larry Edward Edwards, born on February 12, 1994, in Abilene, AA. Larry, who bravely served in the Army Air Force from February 16, 2010, until April 11, 2012, was not only a dedicated veteran but also a passionate race car driver and a beloved member of the Abilene community. The vibrant and strong spirit of an Alaska Native woman with Hispanic heritage, particularly Mexican and Chicano roots, has touched many lives.
Larry gained recognition in the manufacturing industry as an outstanding team member at Jones Manufacturing. Her love for racing was matched only by her passion for fishing, where she found tranquility and joy in nature.
On April 20, 2021, Larry passed away peacefully from natural causes in her hometown of Abilene, TX, at the age of 27. She leaves behind a loving family, including her devoted spouse, Jennifer Edwards, as well as her mother Janet Edwards, her children, and many cherished relatives including her aunt June August, cousins, brothers, and a daughter-in-law.
Larry was honored for her bravery and service to her country, receiving several distinguished awards including the Navy Cross, Medal of Honor, Purple Heart, DST Service Cross, and Silver Star.
